Hi, I'm Marie O'Dea, your local Liberal for Roe.

Born in the Adelaide Hills I grew up on a family farm before moving to Western Australia to study at what is now Curtin University. My husband, Ian and I live on our farm where we produce prime lambs and have beautiful views of the Stirling Ranges.

 

I have loved being an active member of the local community. As a former shire councillor and someone who’s been active in the arts and other community organisations – I love everything about this region.

 

My work life both here and abroad has kept me strongly connected with our agricultural industry. I have worked in farm lobby groups, small and big business, universities and health organisations.

 

Having lived across rural and regional Australia, I understand the joy of living in tight knit, regional communities. However, I also know what it’s like to be left behind by government’s that don’t consider the impact of their decisions on regional communities.

 

As a member of the Liberal team, I’m fighting for real action on the cost of living, better access to local health services, less red tape so businesses can thrive, and more support for our farming communities.

 

I have the energy and experience to be a strong voice for our regional communities in State Parliament.
